Assess how sedentary you are

You can be active and sedentary. What about you?

Realising that you’re sedentary is already a good start! But the aim is to use this as a catalyst to get moving more. This could mean planning active breaks throughout the day, walking a little further each day, taking the stairs instead of the lift, or looking into suitable physical activities.

Choose your sport

Find something to do in the mountains!

Boost your motivation for hiking

  • Set yourself a goal: have a picnic with friends, go fishing with the children, take photos of animals, camp under the stars, climb a mountain pass on the Tour de France route…
  • Do a bit of research into the history of the place and its legends before you set off, so you can impress everyone.
  • Set off in good company: with your colleagues, your dog, your cousins, a book…
  • Sync your watch to track your performance: routes, calories burnt, heart rate…
  • Collect your achievements: selfies, notes, markers in your atlas…

Plan your climbs down to the last detail

You’ll be given plenty of advice to follow for your health and when taking part in mountain activities. Rest assured, we’ll share the real mountaineer’s checklist with you at the Tourist Office.
