1-flower label Nature comes to the village

Luz-Saint-Sauveur has opted for a form of tourism that reconciles people with their environment, having been involved in the ‘Villes et Villages Fleuris’ scheme since 2017. The village was awarded its first flower in 2018.

The aim of the ‘Villes et Villages Fleuris’ scheme is, above all, to improveeveryone’s quality of life, to encourage business initiatives, to preserve and promote cultural and natural heritage, and to revitalise and reinvent tourism in order to boost the local economy in a mountainous area.

This commitment is linked to tourism, the organisation of events, and a project to raise awareness of environmental issues amongst young people… The village’s floral displays help to revitalise its squares and alleyways, and foster social ties between residents and holidaymakers.
